A COLLABORATION DINNER BETWEEN TWOTRIPLEFOUR, DRURY LANE EATERY AND bILLS FISHHOUSE & bAR
As part of our upcoming Know Your Producer Event – a degustation evening at twotriplefour in collaboration with Bills Fishhouse & Bar and Drury Lane Eatery (click here for dinner tickets) – we decided to shine the light on some of the amazing local producers who supply twotriplefour – and other local restaurants – the amazing produce that helps us do what we love best!
Last week, we packed away our knives & hung our aprons for the day and we headed off to the farm of Near River Produce in Hollisdale, NSW (nearriverproduce.com). The Mid North Coast is lucky enough to have some amazing farms, like this one, scattered throughout. And, following the drought, the bush fires and the floods, it’s been a tough ride for many – check out @nearriverproduce on Instagram for photos reflecting the past few months.
Near River Produce raise rare breed heritage pork ethically on pasture and, in better times, seasonal vegetables are grown in the fields. As a team, they believe that it is important to connect with the food you eat by knowing the story behind the produce and the produce; and, we simply could not agree more.
It was such a cool day reconnecting with food in a truly beautiful setting! Thank you for showing us around your neck of the woods, Andrew!
We hope to be able to visit so many more of our producers in time but as a start, join us in great numbers on Saturday 4th April for our Know Your Producer Event – mingle with producers & chefs all the while savoring a six course paddock-to-plate menu paired with locally crafted beverages and let’s continue the conversation on how more can be done to support local.
