As part of our upcoming Know Your Producer Event – a degustation evening at twotriplefour in collaboration with Bills Fishhouse & Bar and Drury Lane Eatery (click here for dinner tickets) – we decided to shine the light on some of the amazing local producers who supply twotriplefour – and other local restaurants – the amazing produce that helps us do what we love best!
Last week, we packed away our knives & hung our aprons for the day and we headed off to the farm of Near River Produce in Hollisdale, NSW (nearriverproduce.com). The Mid North Coast is lucky enough to have some amazing farms, like this one, scattered throughout. And, following the drought, the bush fires and the floods, it’s been a tough ride for many – check out @nearriverproduce on Instagram for photos reflecting the past few months.
Near River Produce raise rare breed heritage pork ethically on pasture and, in better times, seasonal vegetables are grown in the fields. As a team, they believe that it is important to connect with the food you eat by knowing the story behind the produce and the produce; and, we simply could not agree more.
It was such a cool day reconnecting with food in a truly beautiful setting! Thank you for showing us around your neck of the woods, Andrew!
We hope to be able to visit so many more of our producers in time but as a start, join us in great numbers on Saturday 4th April for our Know Your Producer Event – mingle with producers & chefs all the while savoring a six course paddock-to-plate menu paired with locally crafted beverages and let’s continue the conversation on how more can be done to support local.

ANCHORED | FRIDAY 14th FEBRUARY 2020
After the bushfires eventually came the long awaited rain… so we couldn’t complain when the venue for our inaugural Anchored event had to be changed at the last minute due to the weather forecast.
We are not going to lie, it would have been amazing to host our banquet style feast at the Port Macquarie Marina, under the stars – but it wasn’t meant to be.
The evening turned out wonderful nonetheless – with some sweet tunes from Chris Rose and beautifully crafted dishes from our amazing team of chefs. The Cassegrain Wines and Moorebeer Brewing bevvies also helped set the mood on point!

After a busy few months, the doors to twotriplefour, the sister restaurant to Bills Fishhouse & Bar, finally opened in October 2019!
We wanted our opening day to be a reflection of twotriplefour – a restaurant that celebrates quality local produce and craftsmanship, inherent to the Mid North Coast.
What better way to celebrate the day than by inviting some of our beloved suppliers and other wonderful local artisans and chefs?
We happily welcomed vendors from all around from Ewetopia Farms and Garnat Estate to Drury Lane Eatery and Osteria Papazzo. Accompanied by some good tunes and kids activities, it was a great little community event!
We simply loved it and cannot thank enough for support on our first day!
